New to the hobby but wanted to share this strange clown behavior.

I have had these clowns for nearly 3 months now. Nothing out of the ordinary until I added a Tasha goby, and then very recently the gramma.

When the female clown sees the goby or gramma emerge from their hole it will go lay down in front the hole. I thought it was for sure a goner from some sickness. But it’s been four days of this behavior and seems just fine. And if I walk next to the tank it will go back to its normal activities like I wasn’t supposed to see.

I don’t know, just wanted to show you guys.

Yes, clownfish do sometimes exhibit odd behaviors.

Is it still eating well?
The tank looks very new, are you monitoring the ammonia levels?

Tank is going on 4 months.

Had a nice stage of brown algae so I got a bunch of snails and have one crab that cleans up the bottom most of the time.

And yes all levels are good. Nitrates were around 10 last I did a water change. Seems to eat just as normal so I’ll just have to watch.

Thanks!
