Clownfish Pacing Tank

Hey everyone,

I’ve posted this before but I got a clownfish last week. I’m not new to reefing, this is my 4-5th tank and I’ve had clown fishes before but this one has been pacing for a week and swimming against the glass. The tank is fully cycled. I just added light and corals yesterday.

It won’t eat pellets, but will eat frozen. It came from my LFS actual tank so no diseases with it.

I feel bad watching it swim like this and not sure what to do. The flow is not high, on the lowest setting of the mighty jet. Just not sure what to do. Thanks.

What size is the tank? It kinda looks like it wants more room to swim

I would never consider a fish from any LFS a candidate to be disease free.

Take it back to the LFS and get a fish that knows how to swim properly.

It’s not going to stop because it knows it’s bugging you when it swims that way.

It’s an innovative marine 10. Only fish in there, no other fishes.

What size tank did it come out of? Not saying it's the cause but clowns should have a 20g.

I think it was a nano sized tank, 20-30G? It was the only clown along with another fish

So it was more calm yesterday when there was no lights, it picked up the pacing today when the lights are on
