Yup, when its not swiming forward it looks like its breathing heavy. That clown is not playing, its respiration rate is through the roof. Its swimming into the current for a reason. I dont know exactly why, maybe flukes?

The vid won’t load on my end - could you post it as a YouTube link?
Does the fish lie motionless under the rock or does it look like it’s actively trying to swim under?
Any aggression from tankmates?
How recent is the newest addition?
Im well aware of what causes issues in fish, thats why im half making the joke that its playing dead. It is not breathing hard at all other than when it laid down like that lol.Fish don't breathe rapidly when trying to get attention. Rapid breathing means difficulty getting enough oxygen, stress, pain, or some combination thereof.

See video…
This clownfish is playing dead or trying to get a pod under the rock or something.
But has been picking the same spot to lay down on its side for the past hour!
just lays there and then gets up and swims around like he’s totally fine!? what the heck?
Following. I’m having a similar issue
Thanks, just did thatFollowing. I’m having a similar issue
This is an old thread. I strongly suggest that if you want advice, you post your own thread with a video of the fish behaving in the way that worries you. Or at least post that video here. Nobody is going to be able to diagnose your fish based on someone else's video.
Sorry - the video is posted as "private".

Shoot I'm sorry Jay. I missed the original post date. And here I thought I was helping outAh, I see that I never responded to the OP after they turned their video to public (ugh!). It's been a couple of years now, so I imagine this sorted itself out one way or another......
