I’m not sure if this is urgent or just the fish warming up to the new tank but one of my new clowns is looking bloated and is only sitting at the bottom of the tank, breathing heavily. I only just let them out of the holding box after letting them get to know my other fish that were already in the tank for 24 hours and no attacks have happened as the fish was already looking bad before I let them out.
Tank is 10 months old
I have tested ammonia which is 0 but will test for everything else if something could be wrong. All other fish look fine, including the fox face who is always first to react to water problems.
I bought 2 black occelaris clowns yesterday at the fish store near me. They are very tiny fish at only about 2cm long so they definitely aren’t female or anything. I already have two orange clowns (same species & only slightly bigger) in my tank who have taken a liking to the new clowns and have not attacked them and they all swim together in a group already except for the sick one.
Photos of healthy fish and sick fish who were bought together.
