I made a few films about shellswellers from Lake Tanganyika because I saw they could be good storytellers.

Battle of the shells (trailer):

Battle of the shells (film):

I placed a tank right outside my window and filmed the fish for over 1200 hours.

These fikms did well in the film festivals but I don't think they pleased the cichlid crowd.

After that I went to film the fish in Lake Tanganyika and I finished the series recently:

Tales of Shells and Dust - Teaser for the 7th chapter:

I have now some time on my hands and I have been toying with the idea of setting up a clownfish tank (36"×36"×20") with 3 magnificent anemones and 11 clowns.

I tried it before but brooklynella took almost all of them before I could even start, only 3 clowns survived.

These 3 clowns now live happily in a mangnificent anemone and truth be told, they have no story to tell (it is said that happiness has no story).

My question, what story would there be in this setup: 3 magnificent anemones and 11 clowns. I never got to see the group dynamics, I don't know how a clown harem works. The idea would be to do a web series with weekly updates.

But would this be as boring as my 3 clowns (fortunately) are? Or would they have a big story to tell, like those shelldwellers had?

Maybe a clownfish harem tank?

Maybe a clownfish harem tank?

When you have too many fish, as a story, it's a mess. On the other hand, if they are too few, they kill each other.

I specifically thought about using the magnificas because they are their natural host. I noticed a big difference in behavior when my clowns finally had a magnifica, they became much more bound to the anemone than when they had bubbletips.

A pair of clowns with anemone would be enough to tell a story.
