Yes read it, and it seems the lfs or supplier may have screwed up on the one who looks like an oce. The point i and most made was that it was a generic clown and not any form of hybrid designer clown.

Not trying to crush your hopes. And they shouldnt be hopes. They are veautiful fish as everyone has said. But arguing with the masses, some being very knowlegable about clown ids, saying they arent hybrid. You should let it go there...and be happy with the little fishies

Count the dorsal spines, it's not that hard... if there is 11, its an ocellaris, 10 is a percula...

Not hard at all u know cuz my fish are very patient any will just stop swimming so I can count them[emoji6]

I just counted all of my clowns dorsal fins in less than 2 minutes, they're all swimming. It's not that hard, especially in a small tank, like yours.

Take a picture.

If your phone has the burst photo capability it's easier too there will be a few clear shots of his dorsal spines.

Your competence level right now, must be below 1. This thread is ridiculously long for what it needs to be. It is NOT hard to count to 10 or 11.

Okay, the dorsal spines are the only definite way to determine whether you clowns are ocellaris or percula. Anyone arguing would have to show some pretty strong evolutionary evidence that was found in the last 45 minutes to prove it wrong.
