Clowninaround74's 60g cube build

The tank is a year old this week! Been a lot of progress, some bumps, but overall it keeps me happy! Thanks for all of the help and insight over the last year!

Thank you. Kind of hard to see but there are 2 separate "islands" if you will, that are connected with an archway

Very nice looking cube. How about some system specs ?

Thanks!

Marineland 60g cube
ATI 8x24 dimmable T5 fixture (only had this for 3 weeks) had a Radion Pro G2 prior to that.
Eshopps sump
Eshopps skimmer
2 mp10wes running on reef crest mode
Ecotech battery backup
Titanium heater
BRS deluxe reactor running carbon
BM dosing pump dosing alk, ca, mag
Tunze ATO

Manually dosing AcroPower

I kind of wish I went with that t5 fixture myself. I have a 250w metal halide at the moment. Could you post a pic of how that fixture looks over the tank sometime?

I like that rack very cool. That light is pretty wide maybe I could get away with the 6 bulb Idk lol

Yea it's wide but I still have plenty of room to get in and out of the tank. It really depends on what you plan on keeping. I have mainly SPS so I went with the 8 bulb

Here's an update! I think this tank is about full and ready for grow out:

Added my last and final fish on Friday; a Melanurus Wrasse.

Some might say this tank is overstocked with livestock but it still runs at 0 nitrates and phosphates are below .03. There are now no battles for territory and everyone seems happy!

Stock list:

2 blue/green chromis

2 Blizzard Clowns

1 Yellow tang- small

1 Diamond Goby

1 Dragon Pipefish

1 Lubbocks Wrasse

1 Carpenters Wrasse

1 Red Headed Solon Wrasse

1 Melanurus Wrasse

As always, sorry for the crappy iPhone pics:

So your stocked with 11 fish right now and only running carbon and an eshopps skimmer? Are you carbon dosing or anything? That's crazy most tanks end up looking like mud eventually stocked like that that I've seen

No carbon dosing at all. I do 5g water changes 2x a week, skim 24/7 and run BRS carbon through a reactor. I change the carbon every 3 weeks.
