Yup, you'd only need to drill the cap if the cap doesn't already have holes to let air thru

This is mine, I think you get the idea. I sealed with aquarium silicone

And this is the moisture trap. The lid can still open so you can dump the liquid periodically

Went to Dollar Store today and bought a cheap ($1) 10 inch plastic bowl. Not sucking up skimmer foam into reactor now!

So that square box on inside around air out barb, that keeps skimmate from occasionally getting sucked up?
Do you have any fail safe back up plans if your skimmer overflows? I got the davey jones locker. It is supposed to shut off when full to prevent water going into media reactor to dose a soda lime slurry

@Cjeippert yes you are correct. The way the air enters the inlet leading up to the barb is supposed to keep skimmate out of the scrubber recirculating setup. There is a chance skimmate will get in the line however I run a skimmate collector, the Eshopps Skimmate Buddy. I also have a mechanism that shuts off the skimmer when the skim buddy is full.

@Cjeippert FOH will print for any size or model of skimmer. If he doesn’t already have the blueprint file for your skimmer, you send in just your skimmer lid, he gets the measurements from that, then prints yours and sends back the lid to you with the ring. Then he has a blueprint file from another model and size of skimmer to print for anybody else.
