Mines depleted 2 much so added a hose to the skimmer ran outside by my wi die and addded a Refugium 8.0 to 8.1 at nite 8.3 to 8.4 when the lights are on

Did you put a valve on it that stops when water goes through? I'm thinking about doing a DIY build with normal air hose and have some of those valves handy.
Can you clarify what kind of valve you’re talking about? I’ve never heard of this kind of valve.

Sounds like maybe an airline check valve?

What type of scrubber are you using? I'm building a DIY one and wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy the one off of BRS.
The IceCaps are really nice. I have a small and medium one that I daisy chain. Are in bottom to add water. I just jam paper towels in to dry after washing out old media. Keeps my PH at 8.2-8.4. Change every week so I might buy the messer 5 pound from Amazon.
