After 11 years or so I've decided to get back into the reefing game. I told myself years ago that I wouldn't ever get back into saltwater but here we are with that itch again.

So I've been slowly buying gear here and there but today I just put in the order for the tank. I'm glad I waited to order because the R75 is exactly the size I was looking for.

Gear List
Light: (still need to purchase) either Illumagic X4 or ATI Straton G2
Return: Ecotech S2
Wave: Ecotech MP10
Skimmer: Simplicity 120DC
Filtration: RedSea Nano Reefmat
Heater: Maybe Icecap (open to suggestions)
Rock: Marco Dryrock
Dosing: RedSea Doser
Control/Monitoring: Hydros Launch, XP8
Fuge Light: should I go, Tunze, Pixel or UNS fuge light
UV: Sicce UV-C 7w

Once the tank arrives I'll start getting photos of everything posted. Any feedback, questions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tank finally arrived! Will probably spend most of this weekend unboxing and putting stuff together.

Ended up going with the Illumagic X4 since they just released their white edition. Should hopefully be getting them on Monday.

Will post more pictures once everything starts coming together.

Quick tank update. Got most of the equipment connected and wires organized.

Has anyone ever used computer water cooling tubing for their tank? I have a big roll of white tubing that I would like to use for the UV instead of the gray that it comes with, just wasn't sure if it was safe.

Looks nice and clean! Curious to see where you have the dosing containers, and how you have the rest of the sump set up.

@UNS_Brandon @UNS_Parker question, is there a good way to plumb the return pump when the barb on the pump is 3/4" but the barb/hose is 1"?
You may need to use a barbed coupler. Here is a link to one I found on amazon:

Some return pumps have the option to swap out their barbs to larger ones as well.

The wiring on your electrical cabinet looks great!

Have the UV pulling from skimmer section into the return pump compartment. Not turned on yet since I just started cycling the system this past weekend. Once it's cycled was also gonna try to fit the Nanomat to the filter sock section.

Was probably going to try to fit these bottles ( https://a.co/d/bWZzVhB ) once I need to start dosing or at least try to get something that will fit perfectly in this lower section.

Are you able to open the drawer or does it hit the wall? If you can't use it, consider removing the drawer. You can leave the housing as an open shelf or just take it out entirely like I did.

Dosing unit can be mounted on the back of the drawer housing (above your UV), or if you take out the drawer and its housing, it can sit on top of the equipment box.
