While I have been in the hobby for quite a few years I did not start dosing trace elements or doing ICP tests until last year. Ever since I started dialing in my dosing I've noticed a shift in colors in my coral. They seem brighter and I've also noticed more growth as well. I don't really have any good pictures showing the difference unfortunately as most of my old photos were on my old phone. But it definitely feels like a reward for all the extra hard work put into the tank. If anybody else shares this experience and has before and after photos of their tank please show them off! 😁

No pics either, but when I was dosing "plain" two part (Randy's Recipe #2) over a long period of time what the heck gangbusters levels of success in terms of growth, I got a bump in my budget and started using B-ionic 2 part....basically the same results you saw: brighter colors. Not sure if there was a growth spurt as corals were already growing fast...it wasn't noticeable if there was one. Fast growth ≠ healthy corals anyway tho....IMO the biggest difference was coloration. I was pretty surprised since I thought everything already looked pretty great before that.

I feel that. It's crazy seeing how much they can color up especially when you're running heavy blues on your tank. Thanks for sharing!

Speaking of that, this was back in the halide days....Radium 150wDE's on analog ballasts (M80? been a long time since I thought about them) as intended, so they weren't over-blue like the other models seemed to be in many instanaces....they ran at about 175 watts each on those ballasts and were the BEST 20kK blue I've ever seen.
