I just saw this product on the brs youtube.. Looks interesting.. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/compact-rollermat-theiling.html

I have a 3 pipe drain system (bean animal). I know one pipe is the drain, one is the emergency but I forget what the 3rd pipe with the U pipe does.. Will this product work with the bean animal? So I plumb the drain into this product, what does the pipe with the U drain do?

It's a secondary drain, You should have some flow through that drain as well. Not nearly like the open drain, but some. If you don't, then you might try closing the valve on the open drain just a bit.

Open drains typically make a lot of noise unless they are fully flowing. The drain with the 'U' is a Durso and runs MUCH more quiet, even with limited flow.

How do you plumb either of these, the one from BRS and the Aquamaxx AF-1, if you have two pipes, the drain and the durso pipe (bean animal)
