So my tank was running fairly well and then I was forced to move. Went to a smaller tank (~30AIO). First it was vermetids, then a massive plague of dinos. Got them under control once and then they came back in force. Tried Elegant Reefs dino/cyano method to the line and was greeted with the picture below when I got home today. Its probably been a decade since I lost a fish (other than DOA shipping) and now all my fish are dead.

Where do I even go from here / any help appreciated. Thanks.

Tank Specs are:
Temp: 80
Salinity: 1.026
both apex monitored
pH swung down to 7.4 during the crash.

Nitrates: 12
PO4: 0.10
Alk ~ 8.5

Clearly the bacteria deoxygenated the water, causing the massive crash.

Sorry to hear about your tank. How many fish did you lose? I was going to say that I wonder if the cloudiness is indicative of a bloom of some kind that deprives the tank of oxygen. Do you have a powerhead to supplement flow in the tank?

I would run carbon, and wet skim, then do sets of 30% water changes every other day/every couple days until clear. Wouldnt address the dinos or any other issues until clear. Thats what i would do

The tank had an airstone and two powerheads running in it. I thought that would be enough to avoid the O2 desaturation but clearly not.

2 PJ cardinals, a green chromis, red flasher wrasse, and small yellow tang (this was meant to be a temporary tank for a year or so until I get out of an apartment)

So sorry to hear. This is why now if I can I run uv and a skimmer
