Conch eggs?

I am not sure this is conch eggs but I keep seeing this clumpy sand next to them in the morning and when I go to take it out it is full of all kinds of white stringy stuff. What is your opinion?

Mine look exactly like that, although maybe slightly different shapes. :) They're kinda soft and if you work the sand in your fingers it will come apart and leave nothing but sand. Why do you take your conch out of the sand in the mornings? Wonder if they sleep in a slime layer or something.

I don't take the conchs out. I notice a lot of times there is a pile of that stuff next to them when I check on the tank in the morning.
