I got this and while it fits, it leaks a lot so looking for another solution.

The valve I posted above will solve your issues Leah:)

But on a side note it looks like that fitting is installed incorrectly

I had a feeling it wasn't set up right but it leaks from all 3 places even though it screws on snugly so I suspect it is the wrong part for the job.

Simple tapping clamp for copper line ( has pin to puncture and seal, and then route your line to unit and figure a location for waste line

This is the one you want. It pivets so that you can hook your RO/DI in any direction. Best one I have had. no issues with it.

I forgot it pivots too, thanks for mentioning it:)

I just realized this was exposed for my washing machine.. could I maybe hook it up here? Looks like they’re rubber hoses connected like a normal faucet would be

this would actually be better bc then it would be upstairs and out of the way in an already cramped kitchen

Now I’m finding out my hot water heater has a faucet at the bottom so now I don’t know where I want to hook it up lol..

Under the sink? Kinda tight and no place for storage water

Washing machine line? Upstairs, out of the way but would have to bring water downstairs to tank

Hot water heater? Faucet setup, about 15-20 feet away from tank, enough room for storage of a brute and enough space to mount my rodi unit.

I’m thinking hot water heater. What do you guys think? Any pros and cons I need to know about with each setup? Let me know!! I wanna get this figured out in the next few days if possible!!

Picture of your hot water heater?? Generally if it's a tank and it's at the bottom it will be a drain for the tank itself. VERY bad idea to be hooking your RODI up to that:)

Oh well there goes that idea lol maybe I could pierce it in-line and do it that way? I can get a pic tomorrow. I’m not home at the moment

How much room is in your laundry room? Enough for water storage atall or no?

None what so ever. It’s a hallway closet (I guess you could call it that) that has my washer and dryer. It’s a perfect place to mount it and everything but I’d have to bring buckets of water downstairs to do water changes and not to mention the initial fill of the tank
