I was not sure where to post this but are there any copepod experts here? I just want to get an id on these before I try to breed them. Tigriopus Californicus?

Amphipods in my experience are much, much larger when mature. This is a microscope picture of an amphipod, they have a curved back. Copepods do not have eyes as you can see if my microscope picture plus this is a mature copepod since it has eggs. I can barely see this unless under a microscope but amphipods in my tank are much, much larger.

If one gets technical, it is one of the two being Tigriopus Californicus AKA Tigre pods and tisbe Biminiensis which are
Harpacticoid Copepods.

The best I can do is confirm that it is a copepod. (Sorry, a ton of copepods look indistinguishable to me, and I haven't learned the technical side of differentiating them yet.)

Hopefully someone will be able to confirm the species for you on this thread, but - if not - you may want to head over to the Aquarium Nutrition forum and ask there (that's usually where I find the pod experts on the forum).

Tigriopus brevicornis or Tigriopus californicus . Body structure and tail split are a little different then Tisbe Biminiensis
