Hi there! My CBB is an eating machine! Running through 2 clams a day and eating Mysis Shrimp as a lunch snack with the rest of my fish.
I went to my local Seafood Store and noticed they sell Mussels. Has anyone had CBB's eat mussels or do you think it's a bad idea?

Have a Great day everyone and thanks for the replies in advance!

I was feeding muscles to my stars and stripes. LFS told me it was ok to leave the empty shells in the tank. Google told me that muscle shells leach nitrates into the water.

I'll stick to the clams then! Thank You!
if needing to wean onto other food try LRS reef frenzy and pellets. try shutting off the flow and open the clam shell a little and put the food into the clam shell with a turkey baster. The cbb should swim over and consume some as it tries to get the clam and may like the taste as well. Then transfer to pellets as well using the same method. Hit or miss weather it will actually like pellets though but may save you some money over clams if it works, LRS reef frenzy usually works great though
