ok does anyone already have this figured out so I don't kill my wrasse in a 10 gallon QT tank? Specifics on how much per day to get to 1.5 ppm. Then how to keep it there?

simply following the instructions on the bottle, you can calculate how much copper it should take to get to therapeutic levels. Take that total number and divide it by, say..... 4. Over 4 days dose that amount of copper into the tank testing an hour after each dose to be sure you haven't over-shot your goal. Once you reach 2ppm, the levels will stay there unless you keep something in the tank that will absorb copper (live rock, sand, ect). Water changes will also lower the amount of copper in the QT, but as long as you add copper to the new water before adding it to the QT, you will be able to maintain your 2ppm of copper.

I've had bad experiences with copper and wrasse, specially fairy wrasses, and better experiences using copper with tangs and angels. I've also read that wrasses are just more sensitive to copper. Therefore, I would advice to start out slow and have salt water ready to change in case if something goes wrong.

For Coppersafe, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 10 gallons of water per day will raise it slowly. But you still want to double check using an API test kit.

Got it! Wish me luck.
