Curious on feedback for people's methods of acclimation. I have only lost 1 coral but it was definitely one I would have liked to make it.. not that I want any not to but you know... question.

Do you guys drip? Or just float, dip and place them. I have dripped and it has been fine when they are shipped, but also just floated and dipped for local pieces and they have done fine.. Curious on how crucial the drip is with corals to others? I'm kinda starting to feel like it is not as crucial as it may be for fish.

I float for 20 minutes then drip until the water in container has doubled, that's it. While I personally don't dip (do as I say not as I do) it's highly recommended you dip them after acclimation by creating the solution dipping following instructions then rinsing off in fresh tank water before placing inside the tank.

I float for 20 minutes then dip. The corals then go through weekly dipping for six weeks. Have not had any issue with survival if the coral arrived healthy. I mostly used KCl for dip nowadays.

Interesting. I was floating and dripping. Then placing for a few hours before dipping but I lost a softy and think thay may have been to much for that piece specifically. I have a Goni arriving today that I'm most concerned with giving it the easiest and healthiest placement for both it and the tank.
