Good evening. I have a coral beauty at the tail end of a quarantine stint and I would like some opinions. I put this little guy along with a kole tang in QT a while back. Treated with CP for 30 days, no issues until the last couple days. A few days short of the 30 day, the CB developed popeye in one eye, I have seen this before and figured it was flukes which I confirmed with a FW dip.
I did some sizable water changes, ran carbon and proceeded to do 2 rounds of Prazipro which I though would clear it up, I didn’t. So yesterday, I decided to treat with erithromycin. Since I saw no reason to put the the kole through more treatment since he looks great, I went ahead and put him in the DT, did a water change in the QT to rid of residual prazzi and started the antibiotics. The eye looks terrible (been inflamed for almost two weeks) and he stopped eating 3 days ago. Is my course of action (continue antibiotics and hope for the best) good, or is there something different/better that I could be doing?
I though about putting him in the DT too as the superior water quality may help, but if it doesn’t it would be tough to catch him again in a 180G with 300 lbs of LR.
TIA
