Coral died

someone and idea if a coral died and some brown-red mucus hangs around that it's always about the brownjelly disease or not?

I don't have a picture of it. I removed it from the aquarium as quickly as possible. but the slime did not go all the way. there was only one part where the slime was about.

Did you notice a smell? Can you take some out and give it a whiff test?

No smell . Normal coral smell
