Besides dosing things to maintain water parameters like calcium and alkalinity what do you guys dose to feed the coral and or increase coral and growth I currently started doing reef plus amino acids and oyster feast (live photoplanktin and oyster flesh) how long have you done this and what kind of success have you had? Any input is greatly appreciated :D

I rarely feed my corals. Mine get enough food from fish poop. (and food that my fish don't eat)

I feed my corals Sponge Power, Pohls, frozen mix of marine algae and mysis (what I feed my fish) .

If you're going to feed LPS type coral, frozen meaty seafoods, like mysis, fish or invert eggs, a decent pellet brand. You can make a slurry and target feed.

For soft corals/octocorals, and gorogonians, zonthids you need a finer particulate matter, any mix of foods listed above works fine.

I use reef frenzy and acro power, there are some studies on the Internet showing increased growth rate with these supplements and very thing on the Internet is true so it must be working.

Thanks guys I run a sps dominant tank and what about not necessarily target feeding the corals but dosing things into the water to increase coral growth and color besides amino acids

You can broad cast feed Reef roids and Coral frenzy. I just take a pinch and hold it near each colony at night when the polyps are completely out.

Do you mind ponying me in the direction of these studies? I would be interested in reading them! Thanks

I prefer reef plus everyone says acro power is just a watered down version of reef plus you get way more amino acids for cheaper
