Might be a dumb question but eh I don’t care. The two corals in question are a candy cane and a hammer with pictures attached. I’m just wondering are these corals going to grow outward and get larger or just grow more downward to the point that they will need to be put on a larger rock so they have more room to expand? I feel like they just keep getting closer and closer to the sand.

Both lol they’ll build skeleton and grow in all directions
Almost all directors, they generally don’t grow downward as the bottom of the tank limits growth there .

But eventually, if they survive they will start competing for living room.
