Cycloseris isn't necessarily dome-shaped. Cycloseris are characterized by thick, finely-granulated septa and bright neon colors while Fungia has thinner, more compact septa with triangular septal teeth and is usually light brown with purple mottling. Most plate corals in the hobby are Cycloseris; true Fungia are actually pretty rare in the hobbyCycloseris? Is it because the mouth kinda looks like a dome? what’s the difference with fungia?
