Also, where were these photos taken? Biogeography is an important factor when IDing corals

Millepora complanata or Millepora platyphylla? Maybe?
Kinda looks like fire coral
not Millepora, Millepora has a smooth coenosteum, while this coral has a bumpy coenosteum from exert corallites. Also, M. complanata is a Caribbean endemic, while these photos were taken somewhere in the Indo-Pacific, as evidenced by the surrounding Pocillopora, Xeniids, and Tridacna clam.

Kinda looks like maybe Pavona, although I couldn't tell you exactly which type
not Pavona, corallite structure is not thamnasteroid.

Merulina?
not Merulina, Merulina has meandroid valleys arranged perpendicular to the periphery of the colony, while this coral has plocoid corallites. Also, Merulina is plating with nodular branches, while this coral is columnar in growth form.

These pics are from Ned’s beach lagoon Lord Howe Australia. The worlds southern most reef.

I’m attempting to replicate that outcropping for my pair of Mccullochi clownfish.

I greatly appreciate the help. I know clownfish, not so much corals.
