I am wanting to come up with a pegging mounting system for my acros. I’m looking for the functionality of what ACI does with PVC, but with branch rock.
I built my aquascape using lots of tonga branch rock and some man made pieces. On the right side of my tank, there are 3 rows of branches going across with corals mounted directly to them or with rocks sitting on top.
Once the corals encrust, they’re stuck. They’re difficult to trim and some are impossible to move.
I want to build a similar structure to the pic above drilled full of holes. My corals would be cut and mounted on some type of large plug with a deep pole/insert.
Has anyone done anything like this? Any suggestions where I can get long thin branches to drill? What should I use for pegs and how big should the plug be?
