This started growing at base of pagoda. I have tried siphoning off to no avail. Now it is attached to a piece of rock. Is this a type of coral?

Looks to be bubble algae right next to it. I’d call that a nuisance in my tank [emoji16]

No mat underneath. hard to tell if all heads have 8 tentacles.
Bubble algae has been a constant problem.....been fighting it for 8 months. I try siphoning out everytime I do a water change.
Tried crab d green buying an emerald green crab. Did nothing.

The best way to combat bubble algae is introduced 10 to 20 Emerald crabs at a time

I only have a 60 gallon isnt that a lot of crabs?

Yes, that is a ton of emerald crabs. I would recommend 1-2 in that size tank. They will need to be fed once they finish the algae.

Never seen Anthelia with such boring polyps, usually they have pretty fronds.. I asked about the 8 tentacles, as that would make it most likely an octocoral, which would point to possibly Anthelia, or a really weird GSP?
