@USMC4Life honestly I would use the halide t5 fixture maybe just add a reefbrite or two. Maybe raise it up so its about maybe a foot from the top of you tank. I am partial to halides tho. I will not sacrifice growth for color when I can have both. Reefbrites are the With halides and t5s. That's just my 2cents. Semper Fi

I need to switch it out because it eats too much and I need something with less cords lol this one has 3. On top of that this thing is overkill for this tank. I need something that I can adjust the output on.

So if you are in NJ and can do a pickup I will sell it $180. It will grow anything. Just a word of caution raise it far above the center brace if you have one.

hi,

don't make me laugh. I will never buy PC light.
and will never buy MH light.
Besides, your light is probably worth about $49.99 bucks in my opinion

You are welcome to your opinion. But no need to be rude.

Some people like the lights and some do not.
I would keep it, but because I downsized the tank it is overkill and has bleached my plate.

If you are talking about a "plant", well then based on my training and experience I would say it would be the illegal kind. Also I think that's the cost for a brand new one AI. minus $9.

I'll tell you buddy, disregard the member here that is being so,....rude !
If people like that can't keep from ripping others products or way of reefing, then stay off the forum.
Maybe he needs spanked by a moderator for not playing well with others. ;)

Can the three lighting systems be opperated separately on timers ?
Also, can the halide be lowered to a 175 watt ?

I too like the halides over the LED's for a more natural light and better coral growth, but tbeir expensive
to replace once or twice a year, run hotter and pay higher electric bill.

What's your bottom dollar ?

He's probably a democrat. They are still a little touchy. I'll never use anything but halides. He is priced high though. I'd keep it for a back up or frag tank or trade it.

It's down to a $150 LOL. Can't keep it. Too big and puts out too much for small tank.

This would be awsome to gut the PCs out and put reefbrites in.

Halide is good for a deep tank with corals. Plus I don't have the time for a project unfortunately. But I agree if you are talking about adding it to this. Just space and heat output is a factor.

This was more for intended buyers to seem more attractive
