I have a BC29 and have done a similar LED upgrade as to what was mentioned to you. I gutted the hood except for what was necessary to run the stock fans, added a custom cut piece of acrylic, drilled out screw holes in the acrylic to match the existing screw posts, and then mounted 5 TruLumen Pro LEDs (2 blue, 3 marine fusion) into the hood. It was an easy and cheap LED mod that has provided far better lighting and temp control to my biocube.

Sorry it took me so long to get that FTS. Tank is doing well, it still hasn't crashed and that surprises me, I didn't think I could do this. the feather worms are nocturnal now. Almost never coming out. Also new theory, the mandarin dragonet is eating the kent's mircovert.
