But.... Not as awesome.
I'll spend $649 on a frag, not a fish.
I wouldn't buy a $700 tiny fish either. I also hear they have special temp requirements. The only fish I might would consider that's expensive is a black tang, and they grow much bigger. But I don't know if i would spend that kind of money, I'll probably would just get a scopas tang for $20/30.
 
Prices have come down... L. Carmabi have retailed for as much as $1200 in the past 10 years.

For a while they were only available from Dynasty Marine...
