I recently bought a cowfish a little over a week ago. I put him in a 10 gallon quarantine tank to observe him with no medications. I usually use copper on my fish but apparently cowfish are sensitive to it. I think it’s ich. I’ll post a pic of it down below. What should I do? Sorry tank is cloudy from taking out rock.

Common with them, not ich but a viral condition known as lymphocystis
It is triggered in part by poor water quality, diet or both.
Assure good water quality and diet and it will clear on its own
If you get these guys to eat, offer mysis shrimp, spirulina brine shrimp, LRS reef frenzy and similar food

Ok good to know. About how long does it take to clear? And once I see no spots I can put it in my display tank with other fish ?

Depends on health of fish and water quality
