"Crab Tank " Upgrade

I have had a 20 Gal. tank running a couple of years now along with my 40B. Since my Calico crab passed away last year I decided to up grade the tank. I am building an AIO 20 Gal. Standard tank. I won the Tunze Comline skimmer, NanoStream powerhead, and the Osmolator 3 nano. I figured it would be a perfect time to improve the tank.

I started drawing up some plans for the AIO filter , I decided to go with floss or poly fill instead of socks. I will DIY the the filter cart also. I drew up the lid plans while I was at it, It will be made like the one on my 40B

Had to order the black acrylic for the AIO. Cut piece to size and cut some slots for the weir

added an overflow and hole for return bulkhead

All baffels are cut also

Have the baffles in place, rounded some corners so as not to damage the tank silicone

Working on the lid, made a few cosmetic mistakes, but that's cool to me. The vertical supports are cut, the lids to the feed holes are ready to glue. If you look at my 40B build thread, you see how you can use acrylic to make your lid without sagging or warping.

The protective film is still on the pieces, just getting set up for Weldon 4. Will probably do the gluing later this week. Exposed cut edges will be polished for clear look before gluing.

I have decided to put my ReefBreeders meridian 11 on the 20 gal., I have the ReefBreeders mount also. But its not getting attached directly to the tank. I am building a custom mount to attach to the stand it will be on

This giveaway win is the driver for the tank upgrade, all rock, some of the sand, BIO filtration component's, resident fish(2 bengai cardinals) and sally lightfoot crab are going into the tank, may get a Gobi , don't know if a Diamond Gobi would fit.

Lid is basicaly done, can not polish the screen retainer groove, but going ahead with it. Only need power cord notches for lid, The skimmer fits under it. Looking at a return pump, think the Sicce .5 would work, been advised on a higher flow sicce. since going for SPS tank and higher flow would be nice.

Wet test went good on the AIO, the multi 800 pump has seen better days, i guess the salt mixing got to it. Flow from it was ok at best, but it rattles badly. Looking at purchasing a return pump and will go DC. Also had one drip from my barbed fitting on the return bulkhead and will add a baffle to the filter cart so the flow drops into the middle of the filter.
