Cracked skeleton in my torch

Had a clam in my torch skeleton and it was getting big and was stressing my torch so I had to chop it off.
Just wondering if it would survive and grow back its skeleton??

The skeleton won’t grow back but I don’t think it’ll be a problem for the torch. It looks lower than the flesh band and doesn’t look to be deep enough to splinter the skeleton. Algae will grow over it and you probably won’t notice it after a while.
