I figured I would update. He made it through just fine through while I was gone. He actually seems to have gone through a growth spurt while I was gone. He looks as good as the pictures I posted above. He's definitely a happy fish. I rather expected a skinny or skinnier fish when I came back but no, he must have had something to eat in the tank while I was gone.

I’m in Fort Wayne and would def feed your Mandarin for you. Didn’t read to the bottom lol whoops my fault. Mandarin looks great!! Happy reefing
It’s all good. :) I’m glad he didn’t get skinny on me for being gone as long as I was. He’s definitely mowing the pasture this afternoon.

I wanted to make this a last update to the thread itself. Apparently, the coralline algae that just came this week had also brought an extra surprise. I got up after hearing water sloshing thinking it was the clownfish jumping through the hood where the food door flips up. They were asleep. But I managed to take a closer look and found copepods along the glass. So, the copepods are actually breeding and I think that’s how he’s kept his weight on. I couldn’t believe it as it should have been basically diminished. But, there they are. I’ll still be adding bbs and more copepods as I go to make sure he continues his way to being a little sausage. But thought I’d officially end this thread on a couple surprises that even I wasn’t expecting but definitely grateful for.

You may have followed this advice already, but I would stop into Summit City Coral. It's on north Goshen opposite the Post Office. Matt has great advice and will take a look any anything you've got. That is the best shop in town!
