I would love to see your craziest DIYS here is a couple of pics of one of mine that works very well for being able to see on top of the water while trying to do maintenance or such I took an old hat and an old overflow plus a strap to hold it into place.and this is what I got it looks stupid but works great.

Why not just turn off the flow, it works for me.

Haha, awesome. I had to put goggles on the for the first time to mount a few sps frags low in my tank...felt like such a nerd

I was actually thinking a bout using one of those and two overflows one for each side as a small fish transporter that would make my lfs freak for sure lol

so I now have a completed fish transporter. the Idea behind it is that when I pick up my fish or corals from lfs the get to ride in there bags with a view. what more could they ask for right .Oh and to freak out my lfs too as a bonus. ah good times are had by all. LOL

I need to get me some fish now to try it out .I thought about building a lid and adding my battery operated pump and a valve to control how much air I put in so its like to minnie aquariums . but I haven't decided yet.

I agree it looks pretty stupid but congrats on coming up with something that works. You don't need to impress your fish with how you look, it's their job to impress you and they won't make fun of you.
