Looks good to me as well. I'm in agreement on making two islands instead of the one structure. Whatever u decide remember you and your family will be the ones looking at it all of the time so make sure you're happy with it.
 
Looks good. The only complaint I have would be that it's a little dark. Maybe it's just the picture.

Thanks Tj w. You're right beauty is in the eye of the holder. But I am in an agreement with you about the two islands open up some sand in the center that might be my next mini project
 
Nice tank we both have the same, the major drawback I regret with this type of tank is the center overflow. As for the Protein Skimmer I had the same but I upgraded over the summer with a Skimz Monster skimmer
