My clam looks good but the last couple of days it has been extending out past it's shell about a 1" is this normal or could it be trying to get more light. I have it placed on the highest rock in my tank. I have the aquatic life with t5 lights!

I use my phone and haven't had any success posting pictures on here! But when it has been extending it has been upward instead of outward mostly

Mine has done that for almost 2yrs now. Same lights as you 4x24w about 9" from the lights. It's very healthy with great growth. I wouldn't worry :)

Mine is about 6-7" from the surface. And about 8-9" from light. I had rearranged my rock the day before yesterday and got it closer to the surface it still did the same thing so I put it back last night!

Ok yeah, that's more than likely the problem. T5 bulbs are best when replaced at about 12 months use. I highly suggest a 50/50 mixture of ATI Blue Plus and ATI Aqua Blue Special. Be sure to light acclimate your tank when you do get them or you'll more than likely have issues with bleaching.
