Hey everyone, decided to do a build thread to help track my tank and have a place to post pics of its progress!

Tank: Planet aquarium Mega Matrix 60g cube
Furniture: DFW Elegance stand and canopy
Sump: Bashsea Signature Series cube

Gear:
Return pump - reef octopus varios 2
UV - Aqua UV adv2000+ 15 watt
Skimmer - Bubble Magus Curve 5
Lighting - Hydra 52 HD and 24” 2 bulb t5 with 2 coral plus
Dosing - MRC calcium reactor
ATO - Duetto ATO
Flow - jebao crossflow and mp10
Controller - Apex EL with 2 energy bars

Welp, it’s been a while, things are going well, just changed the lights over to philips coral care gen 2 so time for a photo dump!

Whew, long time since I updated this thread! A few things have changed since late 2021. Some of the main changes:

1.) adopted reef moonshiners method in summer of 2022. I’ve been very happy with the results and I’ve been able to abstain from about all water changes. I’ve only done probably 25 gallons in all since starting. Originally, I was doing 13 gallon water changes every other week. The only reason I’ve even done water changes was when I was using excessive kalk paste to knock back majanos.

2.) added a small hygger flow pump and a uv/blue light bar to help with more coverage as everything grows in. My bubble magus curve 5 pump bit the dust, luckily I was able to get a reef octopus regal 170-sss from a tank break down.

3.) added a kh guardian for alk monitoring, been extremely happy with it. Definitely happier with it than I was with my trident. Cheaper reagents, more frequent testing, and the fact it can re add the tested solution back into the tank are my top favorite features about it.
