Crushed corals good or bad?

Saw these crushed corals and was wondering what everyone thought and if i should have this a option for substrate for my nee 75 gallon

its fine...depends on what you like and size sand you want.....used it for years. Never had a problem with it

It depends on what fish you are planning on adding. It is too coarse for any of the sand sifters. I probably wouldn't do it if I was adding a wrasse that buries itself at night like a melanurus.

Also it will probably turn purple. I have some crushed coral in the high flow areas of my tank mixed in with the "special grade" and it all has purple coralline algae growing on it.
