I have a stand and canopy that the wife wants me to use and the issue I have is the canopy is only 5" tall but its all decked out with trim and looks really nice

Will a current usa marine led be enough for zoa's bubble tips and other soft corals?

I was going to use 2 black box leds and remove the optics and just turn them really low but not sure that is a good option

Any other options other then rebuilding the canopy but that is a last resort as its showroom quality ad I have no finish carpentry skills

What kind of lights are in the canopy now?
What's the dimensions of your tank?

The tank is 36x18x20, no lights right now

I have seen people put Blackbox leds inside the hoods of biocubes so I think I would be ok with them this close to the water

Yes, just not good at finish carpentry
Same here but this is what I did.
If you put in the orbit with a couple of T5's your get the led shimmer with the T5 par and spread fill in.
I used to have the orbit pro but modded in some Kessil a80's and my corals are loving it.

I did not want to lose my canopy either.

@riche
I just don't know if one regular orbit could do it but their ramp timers are awesome.
I know the orbit pro can do it but it has a tighter led spread that the regular orbit.

I can ping they guy who can tell you for sure if you like.
