Cutting through polyps when fragging.

I frequently see acans and blasto frags for sale that have had polyps sliced in half around most edges of the coral. Will all of these polyps die, or recover and grow back into full polyps?

Anything is possible but whole polyps are more stable and likely to survive more than the butchered ones.

They typically heal well and quickly. Samme applies to leathers and mushrooms
