Cyano on Birdsnest

I have a birdsnest that has a small chunk of cyano on it and it won't blow off. Otherwise the coral is very healthy and I have no other issues in the tank. Is this simply a dead branch or some other issue?

Try to add blue leg crabs so they can clean it for you and snails
