Cycle finished but fish died?

Ya skimmer gets more than just fish poo and rotten food. takes out contaminants too. Ever notice if you use epoxy you skimmer goes nuts. Taking out the junk. Pretty much goes wild if it senses anything not just good clean salt water baby. Set it up and get er rockin.

We are talking about protein skimmer?

Is there any way to test for contamination?

So, I dot Hannah checkers in and tested:
Alkalinity 7.3
Nitrate 60

sent water off to ATI to be lab tested…. Not sure if they check for contamination?
Scared to add fish ‍
