Are you sure that's chypastrea? Most cyphastrea are not branching like that, although a few are.

Mine are doing well in lower light areas, near the bottom of the tank.

What else do you have in your tank?

How are other corals doing. Mine is low maintenance, high or lower light doesn't seem to matter. The bottom piece has fused a few rocks and an large Abolone shell under it and up higher on the tonga branch when they used to touch and it spread.

Yes, it’s a branching one. As in what?

The others look great. Even the acropora looks amazing.

Thanks took me 37 years of trial and error, with 50 tanks in that time span to perfect my own system of doing things and my last 15 years have been really successful, but this tank is the bomb in my mind.

Yeah gonna have to agree with you on that tank. Alright then, good news is I've only got another 36 years to go!

I found that ours does best in a lower flow area, and has done well at all light levels. I keep an eye on him because I feel they like a more nutrient heavy system so I feed him every once in a while. Currently sitting at about 300. If your happy with your numbers maybe he wasn't ready to travel yet. IMG_0574.jpg
