I currently have 2 ai primes over a 40 breeder. I was looking into adding a coral grow and a coral glow until one of my primes went out. Currently looking at replacing both with 2 or 3 dalua pixel and 2 23 inch vitamini. Mostly lps and softy. Just looking for opinions

Have you considered a Nicrew 150 or 200 watts? I just googled the duala pixel they are only 25 watts each.

Hey! 👋 I'm actually a DALUA rep, so I can hopefully clear up a couple of things.
Yes, on paper the Pixel is lower wattage than a lot of other fixtures, but wattage by itself doesn't tell the whole story. Lens design, LED efficiency, spectrum, and how the light is distributed all play a huge role. I've got DALUA lights running over my own systems, and they've grown everything from softies and LPS all the way into SPS without issue.

For a 40 breeder that's primarily LPS and softies, I think 2 Pixels with the two 23" Vitamini bars would make a really solid setup. If you wanted more headroom for SPS down the road, you could always add a third Pixel later—that's one of the things I really like about the system. It's modular, so you don't have to replace everything if your tank evolves.

Another big advantage is the price. Even after adding the bars, you're still often spending quite a bit less than many comparable premium setups while getting excellent color, shimmer, and coverage.

At the end of the day, every light has its pros and cons, and there are a lot of good options on the market. I just wanted to chime in since I've used them personally and have seen what they can do beyond just the wattage spec. If you have any questions or want PAR numbers or photos of my setup, I'd be happy to help!
