does that chip spread towards the interior of the tank? If so, this is a worst-case chip, and will definitely weep water…

The only way I’ve found to patch a interior spall chip on a vertical seam cleanly is one I literally had to develop myself… (see my build thread for context)

Basically, you’re going to need to add more glass there, preferably thick glass, because that spot is now the weak link in that glass pane!

ah! It looked way worse from the photos, now I see!

That could be a lot worse, though it is definitely a weak spot in the pane now…

I’d definitely pressure test it outside for at least 72hrs, fully level and supported before considering sticking it in the house!
