I was actually just going to put the valve on there and keep it closed.. I’d have to order other parts if I wanted to change it to a threaded Tee and plug. I figured I could just put the valve on after the Tee and then just keep the valve closed... or do you think that wouldn’t hold up?

I think that would be fine!

Okay plumbing is done for now. Left the ball valve there for any additional equipment later on. Got my COR15 up a running and we are in full swing now.

Now if my Skimmer would just cooperate I’d be even better. I know there’s a break in period but I can’t get this to stop overflowing no matter what I do.. do I just let it run is course and adjust accordingly or what? I’m confused

Decided to let it run with the drain plug out so I can adjust it accordingly. It seems to be doing better then earlier but still tinkering with it. Should have it set later today...

Meanwhile the cycle is almost complete. Getting .25 nitrite readings and 0 ammonia so we’re almost there!!

Cycle is complete!

Making new water now to do a water change to bring my nitrates down.

The Skimmer is adjusted finally but still breaking in as it’s making a ton of micro bubbles.. I hope this doesn’t continue

Finally got my Skimmer locked in I think. Still making a little bit of micro bubbles but it’s finally producing waste. Also just bought the apex ATK kit. Gonna finish hooking that up tomorrow. Other than that.. I’m just tryna bring my nitrates down before moving over some livestock from my nano... super psyched!!!

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve updated this thread but it’s been a crazy couple of months for me so production was halted for a bit but I’m finally 100% finished with the stand and I love the outcome! Here’s a couple pics!

Here’s a couple pics with the doors off and lit up

And here’s my Skimz sump! Love how this sump looks [emoji16]

Next up is to paint the back of the tank, then I can set the tank on the stand and start plotting out my plumbing. Slowly but surely getting there! [emoji4]
I think this might be the best looking stand I’ve ever seen, man. Fantastic job.

This is a gorgeous set-up. Nice work! I’m a big fan of the scape too; I like the height. Great room for a towering coral reef look!

Thank you!! I have to say.. I haven’t had the doors on for the past week or so.. I may just leave them off! Haha

thank you!! I wasn’t sure on the scape but think I’m starting to like it more and more. I still have 4-5 pieces of rock I could add from my nano but I might just stick them in the sump.

Went out and purchased the apex ATK yesterday with all the change I had in my house and car.. added up to $175 so I got the ATK for $40 essentially. Woohoo! I had to update the firmware on the FMM module but it was a breeze. It’s all set up and ready to go!

Skimmer is starting to do its job and the micro bubbles are subsiding. Did another 15g water change today to bring down my nitrates. Will retest tomorrow to see where they are.

Here’s an updated pic of the sump with everything in action

Please disregard the messy room [emoji23]

Not much to update other than everything has settled in nice since the transfer.. I still have set any Corals where I want them. They’re just sitting on my sandbed for the most part. Got a few new corals, Kratos Chalice, multicolored Milli, couple new zoas.

I still haven’t added any other fish because I want to wait for my custom lid to arrive. Hoping to see that in the next week or 2. Ordered it from Artfully Acrylic back on Jan. 16th. I did however set up my apex DoS and ddr. Hung up a few pics in the “fish room”

I also noticed this bug in the bucket afterwards, not sure if it came from outside or it’s a hitchhiker of some sort?
