DC Pump Question

I have recently been cleaning up my wiring and needed to unplug my DC Pump for a few seconds to move the wires around and then plugged it back in. Now it shuts off and restarts on its own about every 10 min. It does not appear anything is in the way of the sump. Anyone know why this might happen?
 
Did you unplug it from the controller then plugged back in??
 
Well here is the problem.
When you unplug from the controller and not the power supply there is a significant surge through the controller.
Have you tried to unplug it wait 10 seconds from the power supply?
