Hi guys, well I had a bit of a issue with turf algea in the upgraded tank, I've sorted the issue using via balls in a reactor as my phosphates were pretty high but all the dead stuff is attached to the still. What's the best way to tackle the dead stuff? Shall I leave it and it will disappear on its own? Or scrub it? I'd rather not scrub it in the tank cause it just stirs up a storm in the tank. Any advise appreciated

It depends on your patience :) It will break down and disappear over time. I went through a similar stage. At first it was very difficult to remove so I left it for a while. As it decays, it becomes easier to mechanically remove it. It is best to get it out of your tank since it has the potential to feed new algae growth.

Brill thanks I'll leave it then and let it clear up on its own, the bio balls in the reactor are doing a fantastic job at keeping the nitrate and phosphate down so I'm hoping it won't trigger another out break [emoji1]

Turkey basters always help. Just suck it all out! Better out than in I say
