Dead Gogornian

So I order the below gorgonian, it was shipped from Minneapolis to NH, even though I paid for expedited shipping it took 7 days. The company tells me it's still alive, but I'm not so sure. The first pic is after being in my tank for 48 hours. The second is when I first put it in my tank and the 3rd is while I was acclimating it. Can a gorgonian survive 7 days in cold weather or should I just give up on it. It definitely looks like it is losing color and I have yet to see polyps.

Pretty sure that it is still alive. When a gorgonian dies, the flesh falls off leaving the hard skeleton.

Still alive. Takes a couple days for them to come out.
